It all started with new plants… and a LOT of tiny flying bugs!

Hi I'm Emily,

And during COVID, my girlfriends and I became obsessed with indoor plants. Then we noticed tiny flies buzzing around our homes.

After a bit of detective work, we discovered they were fungus gnats breeding in our pot plants. 🪰

I started researching everything I could about indoor plant care, attending gardening workshops and learning how to tackle common plant pests.

But there was one problem…

The solutions were ugly.

Bright yellow and green sticky traps didn't exactly look great sitting amongst our beautiful plants.

So, I decided to make something better.

My girlfriends and I started drawing ideas on paper, figuring out shapes, clips and how to make the traps effective against fungus gnats - while still looking good in your home.

And in May 2021, uBloomd was born. 🌱 

Since then, we've helped thousands of Australian plant lovers care for their plants, selling almost 30,000 plant care kits, working with nurseries across Australia and expanding into New Zealand.

But uBloomd has always been about more than plant pests.

I've always known plants make our spaces feel happier, calmer and more alive. And I love the community that comes with being a plant lover.

Today, uBloomd is here to make plant care simple, effective and a little more beautiful.
